If you are looking for a horse to keep you safe - you will love Pooh Bear. His name says it all. We had a young man who had never been on a horse before join on our annual Men's Ride. We put him up on Pooh and he had a perfect time - 4 days riding with 60 riders, doing gymkhana events and working cows. Pooh took care of him the entire time. This horse is as sweet as they come, nickers to you every morning, is eager to go out and hit the trail. Solid build he can carry anyone all day long. Smooth easy gaits, canters on both leads, and he will walk as slowly as you like if you want to take it easy. No camel walk, he is smooth at any speed. Moves off of your legs, is comfortable with a rope swinging around him and he will carry a pack saddle. He's perfect in groups and confident riding alone. He will also leave a group which is difficult for any horse. Jumps right in the trailer, stands quietly when tied. Respectful ground manners, easy to lead. Solid hard feet, teeth recently floated - up to date on shots, worming, teeth floats. Beautiful paint markings with a red roan coat, big wide flashy blaze. Long thick tail. Pooh is fine with bikes, traffic, dogs and farm equipment. His paddock is right near the dumpster and he never moves when the trash truck picks it up and bangs it back down. Crosses water and bridges, he's been horse camping and on some really challenging trails and he never misses a step. Not a deadhead, he will move out nicely when asked, but he's never going to do so without asking so he will make anyone feel safe and secure.
