Local and sustainable fiber and sheep raised in a certified organic system is another level of regenerative agriculture that we are proud to share with our community. Aspen Moon is raising a small herd of Navajo Churro Sheep, but as the herd has increased in size we are unable to keep up with the demand which is why we are selling off parts of our flock. The sheep have been moved around our pastures and have been doing natures work of restoring the land they graze. Research shows that grazing animals is one of the very best ways to restore balance and nourishment to soil. We have rams, ewes, and some lambs for sale. PRICES FOR EACH TYPE VARY. Please email with which part of the flock your interested in the subject line and we will get you more info!
We also have RAW wool for sale that is beautiful! *Please note when we say raw wool, this is the wool that has been sheared off the sheep and has not been cleaned, spun, etc. One of the special aspects of Navajo Churro sheep is their incredible natural color diversity, so no dye is necessary to create the array of earth-tone colors. The sheep were sheared here at the Farm a few weeks ago. Available for purchase at the Farm Stand 7927 Hygiene Rd, bags of raw wool will be available for $50 per bag.
